Kbank is making its first steps into an Agile way of working. One of the actions put in place to accelerate their transformation was to build their own community of Agile coaches. Wemanity helped them by running the internal coach academy on-site in Bangkok.

Challenge

Understand the importance of leading the change in an Agile transformation

The client aim was to refactor the architecture of its core application toward modern technologies (Java 8, Spring Data, Spring MVC), in order to overcome maintainability difficulties that were becoming more and more costly. Care had to be taken to pursue the functional evolution of the legacy application at the same time, and to carry them over to the new version if necessary. The team was organised according to the Scrum methodology, with one-month sprints. The project management was done using the Jira tool. The team also had an automated deployment environment built around Git, Jenkins and Nexus.

  • The HR department of Kbank decided to move forward and build their own community of Agile coaches to lead and sustain the change
  • Participants come from the HR department, the middle management team and the operational teams
